We Are CT

BrandingDigitalWeb

The WeAreCT.org campaign, led by Connecticut’s DMHAS and DCF, addresses the challenge of navigating the state’s complex mental health, substance use recovery, and prevention services by providing a groundbreaking, user-friendly website that functions as a statewide search engine. Unlike clinical directories, it allows residents to use natural language searches while ensuring privacy, and also supplies the state with valuable anonymized data to inform policy and resource allocation. Beyond technology, the platform builds community through real stories of recovery, reducing stigma and encouraging help-seeking. A robust multimedia awareness campaign—including social media, transit ads, billboards, TV, radio, and digital marketing—has driven significant adoption, with over 45,000 users to date54+ million impressions, and growing momentum in 2025. Recognized with national awards and media coverage, WeAreCT.org is transforming access to care and strengthening Connecticut’s behavioral health system.

The Strategy

The WeAreCT.org strategy is to make Connecticut’s mental health, recovery, and prevention services easier to access through a user-friendly, privacy-protected search engine that accepts natural language queries. By combining real resident stories to reduce stigma with a robust multimedia campaign to drive awareness and adoption, the platform connects thousands to care while providing anonymized data to guide state decision-making and strengthen the behavioral health system.

The Work

With residents in mind, our team partnered with CT DMHAS and CT DCF to develop WeAreCT.org, a user-friendly platform that simplifies access to mental health and recovery resources while protecting privacy. After a successful launch, we supported the statewide awareness campaign, using social media, transit ads, billboards, TV, radio, and digital marketing to drive engagement. We also highlighted real Connecticut stories to reduce stigma and foster community connection. Throughout the project, our team leveraged advanced search technology, real-time data insights, and design tools to ensure the platform was both impactful and easy to use for all residents.

The Results

Since its launch, WeAreCT.org has achieved significant results, connecting over 45,000 residents to mental health and recovery resources and generating 54+ million digital impressions. The platform’s user-friendly design and targeted multimedia campaign drove 31,747 clicks to the website, with 15,000+ users in 2025 alone, showing growing momentum. Media coverage, national awards, and community engagement—such as sponsorship of the CT AFSP Out of the Darkness Community Walks—further demonstrate the campaign’s impact in raising awareness, reducing stigma, and strengthening Connecticut’s behavioral health system.

WeAreCT.org has reached over 45,000 residents, driving awareness, engagement, and meaningful connections to mental health resources across Connecticut.
