Miranda Creative, Inc. (“Miranda Creative,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through mirandacreative.com (the “Site”), why we collect it, and the choices you have.

We’re a small agency, not a data company. We don’t sell your information, and the only tracking we run is Google Analytics, used to understand how people use the Site so we can improve it.

2. Information We Collect

Information you give us directly, through our contact form, newsletter signup, or email:

  • Name, email address, phone number
  • Company/organization name
  • The content of your message or inquiry
  • Newsletter subscription status

Information collected automatically when you visit the Site:

  • IP address, browser type, device type, operating system
  • Pages viewed, time on page, referring URL, general location (city/region level)
  • This is collected through Google Analytics — see Section 4.

We do not collect payment information, government ID numbers, or other sensitive personal data through this Site.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to inquiries submitted through our contact form
  • To send our newsletter, if you subscribe (you can unsubscribe anytime — every email includes a link)
  • To understand how visitors use the Site, via aggregated Google Analytics data
  • To maintain the security of the Site and prevent spam or abuse (via reCAPTCHA — see Section 4)
  • To meet legal or contractual obligations

We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we do not sell or rent it to third parties.

At this time, we do not run advertising pixels, retargeting tags, social media tracking scripts, heatmap/session-recording tools, or any tool that shares your data with ad networks. Our social media icons are plain links to our profiles — they don’t track you on this Site.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on if you’d like to opt out of GA specifically. Blocking cookies may affect some Site functionality (like form submission).

5. How We Share Information

We share information only with the service providers listed in Section 4, each bound by their own privacy terms (linked below), and only as needed to operate those tools:

We may also disclose information if required by law, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — in which case we’ll notify you if your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

6. Data Retention

  • Contact form submissions and email correspondence: retained as long as needed to respond to and follow up on your inquiry, generally no more than 3 years unless you become a client.
  • Newsletter subscriber data: retained until you unsubscribe.
  • Google Analytics data: retained per Google’s default retention settings (currently 14 months), which we do not extend.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we hold about you
  • Request a copy of it
  • Request correction or deletion
  • Opt out of the sale or “sharing” of personal information (we don’t do either, but you can still ask)
  • Appeal a decision we make about your request

This includes rights under the Connecticut Data Privacy Act (we’re a Connecticut company), and, if applicable to you, the California Consumer Privacy Act, Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, Colorado Privacy Act, and similar state laws, as well as GDPR if you’re in the UK/EU.

To exercise any of these rights, email contact@mirandacreative.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We’ll respond within the time required by applicable law (typically 45 days). We won’t discriminate against you for making a request.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we’ll delete it.

9. International Visitors

The Site is hosted in the United States. If you’re visiting from outside the U.S., your information will be processed here, under U.S. law.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we’ll update this page and the effective date above. Material changes (e.g., adding a new tracking tool) will be reflected here before they take effect.
